WHAT IS KALYAN ASHRAM?
Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is a voluntary Social Service Organization working for the all round development of 10 crore Janjati people of India.
These people are called by Britishers as Adivasis and notified as janjati in our constitution. Even then they are inseparable part of the society.
They are living in poor living conditions. They are followers of rich culture and tradition which adorns the rainbow of Indian Culture
WHAT DO WE AIM FOR?
Kalyan Ashram aims to bring up Vanvasi|Janjatis at par with the rest of the society in all respects and to give due respect to their way of life, religion and culture, rites and rituals.
HISTORY OF VANVASIS
Hanuman, Vali, Sugreev, Shabri, Kevat were janjati heroes of Ramayan. Nal, Neel, Jambavat are the engineers who built Ram Setu, some 17,50,000 years ago.
Rukmini, wife of Lord Krishna belongs to Idu Mishmi tribe of Arunchal Pradesh. Ulupi and Pramila are Janjati girls married to Arjun, the great warrior of Mahabharta.
Bheels fought for Rana Pratap and Mawale were the cheiftains of Shivaji's army.
